Calculating Total Score S

S = a×f + b×g
(+ d×i)

f, g, i represent ratios

Ratio Examples (f : g : i)

Example 1

Emphasizes middle school grades, no characteristic test

8 : 2 : 0

Example 2

Emphasizes academic test, no characteristic test

3 : 7 : 0

Example 3

Emphasizes academic test and characteristic test

3 : 7 : 4

Variable Definitions

  • f ... Ratio for middle school grades
  • g ... Ratio for academic test
  • i ... Ratio for characteristic test score

② How Successful Candidates Are Determined

After examinations, each school determines successful candidates through First Selection and Second Selection in that order.

Select up to 90% of recruitment capacity

First Selection
Select up to 90% of recruitment capacity in descending order of total score S.

Select remaining capacity

Second Selection
Conducted for the remaining capacity not filled in the First Selection. Grade evaluation a from school records is not used here.

Changes in Evaluation Method

  • Uses "Attitude Toward Proactive Learning" from school records.
  • Convert Evaluation A = 3 points, Evaluation B = 2 points, Evaluation C = 1 point, and convert the total (C) to a 100-point scale (c).
  • Calculate S' based on the ratios (g,h, and i for schools with characteristic tests) determined by each school.

Recalculation for Second Selection

S' = b×g + c×h
(+ d×i)

b: Academic test, c: Proactive learning attitude, d: Characteristic test

Yokohama International High School, Yokohama Meiho High School, Sagami Koyokan High School, and "Creative Schools" have different selection methods. Be sure to check the "Selection Criteria."

For correspondence courses, selection is made comprehensively based on school records and examination results.

For all selections in full-time, part-time, and correspondence courses, consideration is given to applicants who lack complete materials, such as missing middle school grades.
