"High School Guidance for Non-Native Japanese Speakers"

If you want to go to high school but don't know how to take the entrance exam, please make sure to attend.
You can receive explanations from high schools that conduct Special Recruitment for Foreign Residents.
You can also consult with the Kanagawa Prefectural Board of Education.

Multilingual information about public high school admissions in Kanagawa Prefecture is available on the ME-net website.

Reserve High School Guidance

Late October 2025

Public high school enrollment quotas will be announced on the Prefectural Board of Education website and in newspapers. Details

Graduated or will graduate
from a Japanese junior high school

Interviews will be held at your junior high school to confirm high school entrance exam plans.

Applications for "Special Examination Methods" in general recruitment are submitted through your junior high school. Details

school education abroad

Please attend the "Prefectural Board of Education Information Session" on Saturday, November 29. Details

Conducted in early March as needed at full-time and part-time (non-evening) high schools that did not fill their quotas in Common Selection. It is held on a different schedule from the Full-time/Part-time Split Selection, and you can apply to both.
